ABOUT ARIANA

Ariana Victor is a director, writer, and documentary filmmaker planted and raised in sunny California, where dreams come true just like they promise in the movies.  Poetic, right?

While she originally stuck to narrative films, inspired from the quirks ands stories of real life, it wasn't until she went to film school to study narrative production, that she discovered her calling in documentary.

"Documentary filmmaking is an intimate line of work. I fall in love with each and every person and place my lens has the honor to observe. To immerse yourself in unfamiliar territory, whether it be the new culture or the start of research - it requires you follow intuition, embody courage, and seek always, with open-minded curiosity. Telling one's story within that world calls for the highest form of empathy. It asks you to be human." - Ariana V.

Ariana is currently in production of her first feature length documentary. Her work has taken her across the United States, Canada, India, Africa, Panama, South America, and most recently, Indonesia. Her films have screened at festivals and conferences in seven different countries. She has experience as a director, producer, writer, editor, and cinematographer, in short form narrative, music videos, commercials, virtual reality, documentary, and live broadcasts like TEDx.

Ariana received her B.F.A. in Film Production from Chapman University, with an emphasis in directing and a minor in Leadership, Organization, and Society.
